Is real estate becoming a service rather than an asset? Earlier this month, I led a panel discussion with friends from CapitaLand, Starwood Capital, Argus, Yardi, and Rockworth. The panel was part of the Private Equity Real Estate Summit in Hong Kong, bringing together 500 of the world’s largest real estate GPs and LPs. During the discussion, we looked at how technology is changing the financial industry and real estate strategies world-wide, looking at the shared economy, fintech, and the impact of new type of operators such as WeWork AirBnB, Point, and others. The full agenda for the event is available here.
